1759:Worst tsunami in 2,000 years
October 30, 1759: A devastating earthquake rocked the Holy Land.
Epicenter of the earthquake was the Hula Valley, in the area between the Jordan River and the Sea of Galilee. This earthquake had caused the worst tsunami waves ever to have been historically documented in the region, during the past 2,000 years.
The cities of Safed, Tiberius, Acre and Sidon were severely damaged.
