A Special Highlight:
Any idea where's the only known place in the world where Neanderthals and Early Modern Humans met?
Well, since you know our topic you might guess it's in Israel, and to be more specific: Nahal Me'arot nature reserve in the northern Mediterranean coastline of Israel.
This place is the most southern spot on the planet where Neanderthals remains were found, and the most northern spot where Homo sapiens remains from the same era were detected.
A year ago, UNESCO declared this unique place a World Heritage Site - one of Israel's 14. Today, the Israel Nature and Parks Authority held a ceremony to officially mark this declaration.
