On this day, 26 years before the Jewish state was established, the Hebrew Farmers Association was formed.
Today, Israel is internationally known for its advanced agricultural technology. 
Examples? We picked a few: 

- While the average palm tree yields 37.5 lb. of dates per year the Israeli palm tree yields 400 lb. 

- Israel holds the world record for growing cotton, with 2.45 ton per hectare compared to a world average of 0.7 ton per hectare.

- The Israeli cow produces an annual average of 12,000 liters of milk, compared to 9,500 liters per cow in the United States and 7,500 liters per cow in Europe.
