Egged's public transportation services. Egged Cooperative is the largest transportation operator in Israel and one of the largest worldwide. It transports 1,000,000 people every day with over 25,000 daily transportation lines services. The cooperative was established in 1933 when four public transportation companies were merged into one. It operates 55% Israel's public transportation service lines across the country.Today, Egged is invested in international transportation ventures and owns transportation companies in: Bulgaria, Poland and the Netherlands.
